M Studio is located between Washington Street and the West Side Highway, one block north of West 11th Street. 8000 SQ. FOOT SOUNDPROOF STAGE WITH PRIVATE ELEVATOR TO PENTHOUSE.
Overlooking the Hudson River, M Studio/Michelson Studio is architecturaly progressive in a Fifties/Sixties motif with furnishings included in the Permanent Collection of the Museum of Modern Art. During daylight hours natural light bathes the studio from early morning til sunset through the 50 eight foot windows accessing unobstructed views East, South, and West over the Hudson River. At night the studio view is of the evening river traffic from the Statue of Liberty to the Jersey Cliffs.
The interior of M Studio is covered with light maple wood with a semigloss coating. The walls are stark white covered with art ranging from 18th c. Venetian paintings to photographs by Joel Peter Witkin. An industrial theme vibrates through the studio space from riveted steel bathrooms and massive hinges to vault doors and a poured concrete kitchen.
M Studio/Michelson Studio can be divided easily into two separate spaces by closing 2 fourteen foot doors and still be visually accessable atop a flight of free standing metal stairs with a mezzanine overlooking both spaces. Shoji screens 15 foot high of steel and rice paper/plexi break up the minimalist design adding flow and visual interest.

Formerly the repair station for O and W Railroad, this turn of the century collection of buildings has been transformed into one of New York's largest sound stages.
Michelson Studio 2 is a 60,000 square ft. soundstage located 65 miles north of Manhattan.
Main shooting area is approximately 30,000 square foot with 60 foot ceilings without columns.
25000 square feet of holding area with 27 foot ceilings and 4000 square feet of office space overlooking the main shooting area.
A second level VIP lounge/office also overlooks the main shooting stage with an electric glass wall for creating privacy from filming.
4000 psi polished concrete floors with inground led lighting highlights the modernist industrial motif.
6 large rollup doors and two loading docks facilitate drop off of equipment.
Direct train delivery is available.
