Our History
We founded Pilotfish in 2007 because we share, among other things, an unbridled passion for quoting Seinfeld, “betting it all” in final Jeopardy, and a belief that popcorn without extra butter is pointless.
Less than a year later, we won our first Emmy for a PSA for California’s Recycle Hear Campaign. By the summer of 2010, we had opened a second office in Los Angeles. And in 2012, our feature documentary, More Than Me, made its worldwide television premiere on Current TV.
Currently we are developing short films, TV pilots, web series and an intricate plot to eliminate reality TV from the face of the earth … unless you like reality TV, in which case, ignore that last part.
Our Philosophy
We are directors, writers, producers and editors but, above all, we consider ourselves storytellers. This means that we approach every project, no matter the subject matter or the medium, by first asking “what’s the story?” and following up with “what’s the best way to tell it?”
We believe our appetite for challenges keeps us fresh; our commitment to originality keeps us relevant; our dedication to collaboration keeps us grounded; and our genuine love of what we do fuels our growth.
