MONITORS & DISPLAYS FOR CREATORS

High-resolution monitors took center stage for content professionals:

Asus ProArt PA32QCV: A 32-inch 6K monitor designed for video editing and VFX, offering HDR certification and factory calibration for precise color accuracy.

The ProArt PA32QCV is a 32-inch monitor with 6K resolution that’s incredibly sharp and aimed at creators who need that high of a resolution for video editing, designing, and visual effects work. The ProArt 6K still comes with DisplayHDR 600 certification and factory calibration, which Asus claims delivers a color error of less than 2 out of the box.

LG UltraFine 6K 32U990A: This Thunderbolt 5-enabled 32-inch monitor delivers unparalleled resolution, catering to high-end video editing needs.

One of the most intriguing high-resolution computer monitors to come out of this year's show is the LG UltraFine 6K Monitor. LG's 6K monitor now means there's another option for professionals who need a higher-end monitor for video editing. The LG’s 6144×3456, 32-inch display also has something no other 6K monitor has: Thunderbolt 5.

For the ultimate client viewing experience:

Samsung 8K LCD with RGB Micro-LED Backlight: A stunning prototype with advanced brightness and color capabilities.

Samsung has unveiled an 8K LCD TV that uses an RGB micro-LED backlight at CES 2025. The TV has no official name or model number, but Samsung hopes to release it in 2025. Samsung has demonstrated an 8K set with an advanced RGB micro-LED backlight. The prototype was actually shown one day before CES at the 'Samsung First Look' event. The model on display was an 8K, 98-inch set, though Samsung says it may be available in smaller sizes as well. Samsung says that opting for micro-LED over mini-LED in the RGB backlight will allow for "three times more LEDs", meaning bolder colors and improved brightness. The even smaller micro-LED backlight will most likely allow for more dimming zones than the mini-LED backlight as well. The 8K, RGB micro-LED TV, if released in 2025, will serve as the flagship 8K TV for Samsung.

Hisense 136MX MicroLED TV: A 136-inch modular display with pixel-perfect contrast and extraordinary brightness, ideal for professional screenings.

MicroLED technology has been around for a while. Other brands like Samsung even sell giant MicroLED displays to wealthy buyers via custom installers. But those are really expensive options.

Now, Hisense says it will release its first "consumer-ready" MicroLED TV, the 136-inch 136MX in 2025. MicroLED TVs are made up of multiple modular panels that are aligned together to create a large screen with 24.88 million microscopic LEDs. Like an OLED TV, MicroLED displays have pixel-level contrast with perfect black levels. But unlike an OLED, MicroLEDs have no risk of burn-in and they can get a lot  brighter. Hisense is saying the TV can reach 10,000 nits, which is about six times the luminance of the brightest OLED you can buy right now.
