TechnicolorPostWorks NY has much to celebrate Sunday, January 1th. s. The company provided a multitude of services for five nominated films and four nominated television series whose nominates may result in Golden Globe wins during the awards ceremony.
The post production facility offers solutions for every post requirement including data workflows, telecine and scanning, non-linear editorial and HD picture finishing, digital intermediate and film recording, high-volume encoding and high-speed data transmissions and sound services (conducted throughout nine sound stages on the facility). Below is a list of the nominees and the means in which Technicolor post aided the completed projects.
The Hundred-Foot Journey (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures) is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy (Helen Mirren). Technicolor-PostWorks provided editorial conforming (Christi Leftwich, conforming editor) and color grading services (Mark Gethin, visiting colorist from MPC).
Into the Woods (Walt Disney Pictures) is nominated for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy (Emily Blunt) and Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture (Meryl Streep). Technicolor-PostWorks provided editorial conforming (Eric Leverenz, conforming editor) and color grading services (Tim Stipan, colorist). PostWorks provided sound editorial facilities.
The Judge (Warner Bros.)is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture (Robert Duvall). Technicolor-PostWorks provided 35mm dailies services (John Vladic, dailies colorist). (Final color grading was done at Technicolor, Los Angeles; Mike Hatzer, colorist.)
Noah (Paramount Pictures)is nominated for Best Original Song – Motion Picture (Mercy Is). Technicolor-PostWorks provided 35mm film dailies services (Chris Gennarelli, dailies colorist), editorial conforming (Eric Leverenz, conforming editor) and color grading (Tim Stipan, colorist).
St. Vincent (The Weinstein Company) is nominated for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy and Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy (Bill Murray). Technicolor-PostWorks provided dailies services (Chris Gennarelli, dailies colorist) and 2K scanning (Nate Davis and Patrick Rossi). Editorial conforming and color grading was completed at The Room (Allie Ames, conforming editor; Jack Lewars, colorist).
The Affair (Showtime Networks) is nominated for Best TV Series, Drama, Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama (Ruth Wilson) and Best Actor in a TV Series, Drama (Dominic West). Technicolor-PostWorks provided dailies services (Chris Gennarelli, dailies colorist).
The Normal Heart (HBO) is nominated for Best TV Movie or Mini Series, Best Actor in a Mini-Series or TV Movie (Mark Ruffalo) and Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie (Matt Bomer). Technicolor-PostWorks provided 35mm film dailies services (Dave Francis, dailies colorist).
Nurse Jackie (Showtime Networks) is nominated for Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy (Edie Falco).
