American Cinema Editors (ACE) announced its annual day celebrating editors and their craft, EditFest, will return to Los Angeles on August 6, 2016. Launched in LA in 2008, EditFest now has annual events in New York and London that offer participants the opportunity to learn from award-winning film and television editors who share their insights and experiences. EditFest panels regularly include Oscar and Emmy-winning editors. A sampling of recent panelists include: Anne V. Coates, ACE, Tim Porter, ACE, Fred Raskin, ACE, Barney Pilling, ACE, Paul Hirsch, ACE, and Tom Cross, ACE.
The event returns again this year to the Frank Wells Theater at the Walt Disney Pictures lot in Burbank. The lineup features some of the best editors in the world, who are delighted to share their experiences and expertise with attendees. As in previous years, EditFest will feature film and television panels, a catered lunch, and a cocktail reception. Raffle prizes will be supplied by DaVinci Resolve Software and Avid.
