From Cannes To Paramount: 411 Activities

May found the 411 Publishing staff busy wrapping up the final layout and modifications to the 15th edition of New York 411 printed publication. With the files safely at the printer and the copy editor ‘s eyes taking a breather, we excitedly look forward to the events of the summer.

The first must-attend event 411 Publishing is involved with takes place TODAY, May 23rd! Working with our partners EP Financial Services, the Producers Guild of America and AFCI, 411 Publishing is pleased to present “Shooting Locally and Globally” – the second installment in the 2013-2014 production incentives webinar series. This webinar will focus on how to maximize production incentives available in a multitude of locations in the US as well as in international territories. Moderated by EP Financial Services’s co-Executive Vice Presidents Joe Chianese and John Hadity, the panel will feature tax experts John Graydon, Partner of Holborn, London and Hans Radau, Managing Partner, NOERR LLP and Hans Radau. Rounding out the panel are Bedlam Productions’ Gareth Unwin, Academy Award winning producer of “The King’s Speech” and former New York State Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Motion Picture and Television Development Pat Kaufman. Hosted by the UK Film Council, this is the second consecutive webinar held during the Cannes film festival. 411 Publishing and all participating partners are thrilled to be sharing knowledge that helps producers navigate the diverse and ever-changing production landscape.

Back in the United States, 411 Publishing will be returning to Cine Gear Expo, taking place on the Paramount Lot in Hollywood May 31st and June 1st. Visitors will find the 411 Publishing booth on the far left side of “New York” at booth #6. Staff who will be manning the booth at this year’s expo include President Jeffry Gitter, sales executives Aaron Biberstein and Spencer Aaronson, and Associate Publisher Marjorie Galas. For the first time, we’ll have a large quantity of recent LA 411 directories to pass out to visitors of the 411 Publishing booth throughout the weekend.
