Producers Behind Sundance US Dramatic, NEXT And Premiere Films Featured On State Of The Slate: Films At Sundance 2017 Panel

The State of the Slate webinar returns to Sundance! Presented by Variety 411, Entertainment Partners, the Producers Guild of America and the Association of Film Commissioners International, State of the Slate: Films at Sundance 2017 will feature producers with films screening as part of the US Dramatic competition, NEXT and Premieres during this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The webinar is a free event that is open to the public. The event takes place on Thursday, January 26th at 11:00am PST/2:00pm EST.

Moderated by Joe Chianese, EVP, EP Financial Solutions, this robust webinar will address how the panel of savvy movie producers determined how to select the most cost-effective locations that enabled their visions for their films to be achieved. The discussion will include whether state and local production incentives played a role in their decision process, and what the locations themselves were like in terms of usability, crew and assistance from film commissioners.

Joining the State of the Slate: Films at Sundance panel are Brunson Green, the producer of US Dramatic competitor “Walking Out”, Ryland Aldrich the producer of Next selection “L.A. Times”, Lee Clay and Daniel Bekerman, the producers behind “Rememory” making its international premiere debut, Shea Kammer, Line Producer on US Dramatic competitor “The Yellow Birds” as well as two additional films premiering at Sundance: “Newness” and “To the Bone”, and Jared Goldman who produced US Dramatic competitor “Ingrid Goes West” and the highly anticipated premiere of “Wilson.”

Ryland Aldrich is an independent producer of narrative and documentary films. His first feature, Enter the Dangerous Mind, premiered at SXSW in 2013. His most recent film, L.A. Times (directed by and starring Michelle Morgan) is premiering at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.  Lee Clay is an independent film producer who began his career working for John Davis at Davis Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox. His company First Point Entertainment has produced the films Beautiful Boy, 96 Minutes, Demonic, Standoff and this year’s Sundance selection Rememory, starring Anton Yelchin, Peter Dinklage and Julia Ormond.  Daniel Bekerman is a Toronto based producer with an extensive list of credits, including indie favorites The Witch, The Whistleblower, You Are Here, Bang Bang Baby, and this year’s Sundance selection Rememory.

Brunson Green is an Academy Award nominated producer and president of Harbinger Pictures. He is the producer of the films Pretty Ugly People, A United Kingdom and The Help, as well as this year’s Sundance feature Walking Out, starring Matt Bomer and Bill Pullman. Shea Kammer is an accomplished Line Producer who has budgeted films for locations around the world, including Morocco, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand, Australia and many others. This year, Shea is responsible for three of the most anticipated films at the Sundance Film Festival:  Newness, The Yellow Birds and To The Bone Jared Ian Goldman is the producer of two films in this year’s festival: Ingrid Goes West and Wilson. Beginning his career at Miramax Films before moving to GreeneStreet Films, Jared’s past producing credits include Little Boxes, The Skeleton Twins, Kill Your Darlings, Solitary Man and The Wackness.
